This is my personal website and blogs (Middle-aged Man and How I See the World. As you can tell, the spaces has my name. I have had this domain name for a very long time. It is my little area to experiment with technology. Most of what I use this site for is to try out new web technologies. So forgive me when you see it messy. However, the content is generally about me and my family.

Most (if not all) of my time is devoted to my day job at an aerospace company in the antelope valley, where I am Software Engineer for the Publications department.

When I am at home I am with my family doing something on a computer. My home time is shared with my wife, Teri. We have been married for 21 years. She has blessed me with two daughters, Rachel 16 and Hannah 13. All of us are quite busy with church, home schooling, my schooling and shopping.

I am 49 years old and a bit over weight. In April 2007, I decided to get fit. I started at 230 lbs and since then I have loss over 44 pounds. I blog most of my activity on my blog about this Middle-aged-Man.

My buddy is our dog “Mr. Chip”. He is our black lab. He is about seven years old and is now 95+ pounds, big and likes to run, jump, bark at cats and birds, and is easily excited to see us. He is starting to get a little gray around the mouth and feet. I may need a blog for him, called Middle-aged Dog? What do you think?

Photography

Photography is my biggest hobby or is it a habit? I enjoy taking pictures, but at times it is a love/hate relationship. I get excited about the session and return home to process the files; either to find out if it was good or just ordinary. As I learn to take better pictures and how to digitally process them to the next level is the process. Following is a sample of my photos.

Fitness

I wanted to become fit, so I started back on April 1, 2007, with some diet and activity. The results were weight lost, that was cool, but I started to get "fit". My joins stopped hurting and I felt I could do so much more.

I have started to walk, run, swim, play softball, cycling and hiking. You can follow along by reviewing the blogs posts.
